New archive-to-podcast features, self-managed fallback audio and support for TuneIn Now Playing metadata.

As part of our new publisher dashboard, we also rolled in three often requested improvements to our stream service.

Archive to podcast

One of the best uses for our stream archive product is to quickly turn past radio broadcast content into podcast episodes.

Besides a dramatically improved interface, publishers can now:

  • Fade-in or fade-out their captured audio to make the resulting episode sound more natural.
  • Load intro and outro files onto the episode. These are permanently added to the episode audio to allow for copyright notices or other brand messaging.
See our FAQ article on importing episodes from stream archive.

Stream fallback audio

When incoming stream audio is unavailable, for example due to a network outage at the studio, our platform plays a fallback file until the connection is restored.

We now allow customers to self-manage their fallback audio. Select from one of 3 presets or upload a custom audio file.

See our FAQ article for managing stream fallback audio.

TuneIn metadata API

Any publisher that sends Now Playing metadata for their stream and uses TuneIn as a syndicator can now configure our platform to forward this metadata into TuneIn, providing a much better experience for those listeners.

See our FAQ article for configuring TuneIn metadata.
